Preparation before welding

1. The welding machine should be placed in a ventilated and dry place and placed steadily.

2. Check that there should be no light leakage or damage to the welding mask. Welding personnel and auxiliary personnel should wear protective equipment.

3. The welding pliers, power cord and various joint parts of the wire welding machine must be connected reliably and well insulated. Overheating of the wiring is not allowed, and the terminal of the power supply shall not be exposed, and should be covered with electric tape.

1. A reasonable welding process should be selected according to the technical conditions of the work, overloaded use is not allowed, high current welding is not allowed, and wire welding machines are not allowed to perform metal cutting operations.

2. During load welding, the temperature rise of the welding machine should not exceed 60 degrees for class A and 80 degrees for class B, otherwise, it should be shut down to cool down before welding.

3. The working place of the wire welding machine should be kept dry and well ventilated. When moving the welding machine, the power supply should be cut off, and the welding machine should not be moved by dragging the power supply. If there is a sudden power failure during welding, the power supply should be cut off.

4. During welding, it is not allowed to adjust the current. When the welding is stopped, use the adjustment handle to adjust, not too fast or too strong, so as not to damage the regulator.

5. It is forbidden to do welding work under the crane's running workpiece.

6. If welding is carried out in the area with crane wire rope, care should be taken not to make the welding machine ground wire touch the hoisted wire rope by mistake, so as to avoid accidents caused by sparks.

7. When construction must be carried out in a wet area, the welder must stand on an insulated wooden board and work. It is not allowed to touch the wire of the welding machine, and it is not allowed to use the arm to hold the live welding tongs.

Matters needing attention after welding

1. After completing the welding operation, immediately cut off the power supply, turn off the switch of the welding machine, and clean and reorganize the power supply and ground wire of the welding tongs, so as not to cause a short circuit when closing.

2. If the automatic stopping device is found to be invalid during welding, immediately shut down and cut off the power for maintenance.

3. Wear glasses when removing weld slag. Pay attention to the head avoiding the direction of welding slag splash to avoid injury. The welding slag cannot be knocked at the people present.

4. After the open-air operation is completed, the welder should be covered to avoid rain.

5. When not welding (moving, repairing, adjusting, rest between work), the power supply should be cut off to avoid accidents.

6. Check once a month whether the wire welding machine is grounded reliably.
